Wrestling Biography

Scott Colton has had a number of different ring names, including Colt Cabana and Matt Classic.  He is currently a WWE superstar under the name Scotty Goldman.  Goldman was born on May 6, 1980 and last wrestled on Smackdown.

Goldman first wrestled for Ring of Honor, where he held the Tag Team title and was a singles star.  He even challenged Bryan Danielson for the ROH World title although he lost the match within five minutes.  He tried again for the title later, but again, he failed.  Also in 2006, Goldman appeared under the name Matt Classic for a new MTV wrestling series called Wrestling Society X.  However, nothing much came from the series, and Goldman continued working for ROH.  In 2007, after several years with RoH, Goldman was offered a developmental contract by the WWE.

Once signed, he began wrestling for Ohio Valley Wrestling.  There, he used the name Colt “Boom Boom” Cabana, and he participated in a number of storylines.  In October of 2007, he claimed the OVW Television championship title by defeating Shawn Spears.  Following Ohio Valley being dropped by the WWE, Goldman moved to Florida Championship Wrestling to continue his training.

In August of 2008, Goldman made his Smackdown debut.  He lost to The Brian Kendrick, however.  He then wrestled in the 10-man battle royal to win a shot at the WWE title, but he lost that as well.  In January of 2009, his online show, What’s Crackin’?, debuted on WWE.com. After sporadic appearances on WWE TV, he was released from his contract in February 2009. He is currently wrestling for Ring of Honor wrestling.
