Wrestling Biography

Born as Brad Bradley in November of 1980, WWE superstar Ryan Braddock currently worked as a professional wrestler on WWE’s Smackdown.  However, he first began his wrestling career at Steel Domain Wrestling and trained with Colt Cabana and CM Punk, among others.  Nonetheless, because of an overactive thyroid, Braddock’s career did not immediately take off.  He did, though, find work with a number of independent promotions until the WWE signed him to a developmental contract in December of 2005.

The WWE sent Braddock to the Deep South Wrestling territory.  There, he wrestled as Bradley Jay.  He claimed the Deep South Heavyweight title several times, and he also participated in dark matches on Smackdown, Raw, and Heat.  When the WWE and Deep South parted, Braddock moved to Ohio Valley Wrestling.

There, he wrestled as Jay Bradley and won a number of different titles.  He became the first wrestler to hold both the Deep South and the Ohio Valley heavyweight titles, although he later lost the OVW title.  In 2007, he made a few dark match appearances on Smackdown.  He then won the OVW tag team title with Mike Kruel.  However, before he could defend it, OVW and the WWE split.

On August 15, 2007, Braddock made his first Smackdown debut as Ryan Braddock.  He was defeated by The Big Show and later participated in a battle royal to qualy for WWE Championship Scramble but was eliminated by The Big Show. He continued as enhancement talent until he was released in March 2009.
