Wrestling Biography

Vickie Guerrero was born on April 16, 1968, and she was married to the late WWE superstar Eddie Guerrero.  Through her husband, she became a WWE personality on Smackdown, and she currently serves as the on-air general manager of that brand.  She has two daughters by Eddie and is the stepmother of his youngest daughter.

Vickie began making appearances on Smackdown in 2005 when her husband was feuding with Rey Mysterio.  She and two of Eddie’s daughters appeared on July 14 when Eddie threatened to reveal one of Rey Mysterio’s secrets.  He revealed that Mysterio’s son Dominick was Eddie’s (storyline) son.

Following Eddie’s death, Vickie vanished from the WWE for over half a year.  Following that, she began interfering in the Mysterio/Chavo Guerrero feud, although she later worked to bring them back together.  However, she would end up siding with Chavo and helping him defeated Mysterio, becoming a heel character.  She named herself Chavo’s manager.

At the 2006 Survivor Series, Vickie was kicked by Chris Benoit and put in a neck brace.  She then attempted to help Chavo take Benoit’s US Champion title but ended up causing him to lose.

Starting in May of 2007, Vickie became Smackdown General Manager Theodore Long’s assistant, and she was later named interim general manager while Long planned his wedding to Kristal.  On September 21, Long had a heart attack and was forced to retire.  Vince McMahan named Vickie his permanent replacement the next week.  Since then, she has formed an alliance with her new boyfriend Edge and several other wrestlers.  She was injured by the Undertaker and stuck in a wheelchair, and even after her recovery, she was later injured again.

The feud with the Undertaker also reached its pinnacle when he slammed Edge through the ring and supposedly sent him to hell.  However, at the Survivor Series 2008, Vickie announced Edge’s return for WWE Championship match which Edge won, and the two resumed their relationship. In Feburary 2009, Guerrero was named interim RAW General Manager and her frist duty was to announce that Edge would defend the WWE title against Big Show at Wrestlemania 24. John Cena joined the match after revealing that Vickie was having an affair with Big Show. She became permanent GM of RAW after Edge lost the title to Cena.

She annouced her resignation from the GM position in June 2009 and requested her leave from the WWE to spend more time with her family. After being away for a few months, she returned to manage her new on-air boyfriend Eric Escobar and later became consultant to GM Teddy Long on Smackdown.
