Wrestling Biography

Mark Callaway, born in March of 1962, is better known as the WWE superstar the Undertaker.  He began his wrestling training under Don Jardine and first appeared in the ring in 1988.  His first gimmick was as the masked Punisher, but he dropped that character and became Mean Mark Callous when he joined WCW in 1989.  He began as part of a tag team with Danny Spivey, but by 1990, he had left WCW and joined the WWE.

Survivor Series 1990 saw the debut of the Undertaker.  While he was originally managed by Brother Love, Love was replaced by Paul Bearer after a few months.  Undertaker battled with several different superstars, including Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage. He made his Wrestlemania debut at Wrestlemania 7 where he defated Jimmy Snuka quickly.  One year after his introduction, The Undertaker won the WWE title at Survivor Series 1991 but lost it back to Hogan six days later.

The Undertaker turned face after saving Miss Elizabeth from Jake Roberts, and he would continue to be a face character for many years.  In 1996, however, Paul Bearer turned against Undertaker and began to manage Mankind, whio the Undertaker  began feuded with. The betrayal caused Makind to be victorious in the first ever Buried Alive match.  After this feud, and quick one against Vader, the Undertaker once again became the WWE champion in 1997 at Wrestlemania 13.  It was at this time that Paul revealed that Undertaker set the fire that killed his parents and burned Kane, his brother.

Kane then appeared during the first Hell in a Cell match, causing Undertaker to lose.  The two then fought at WrestleMania XIV and have, over the years, both worked together and fought each other.  Undertaker then began to turn heel once again.  He started the Ministry of Darkness and sacrificed several wrestlers to it.  He kidnapped Stephanie McMahon and forced her to marry him in a dark ceremony that was eventually revealed to be masterminded by Vince McMahon.

In 2001, the Undertaker was again reinvented, this time as the motorcycle-riding American Bad-ass. During this time, the Undertaker won numerous titles including the Undisputed Championship. In 2003, he went back to the dark Undertaker gimmick and  joined forces with Paul Bearer once again.  However, Paul was soon kidnapped, and instead of saving him from the crypt he was trapped in, Undertaker buried him alive. During this part of his career, Taker feuded with names like Randy Orton, JBL, and Jurt Angle.

After winning the 2007 Royal Rumble, he won the World Heavyweight Championship for the first time at Wrestlemania 23. After losing the title to an opportunistic Edge, he started a feud with Mark Henry but wanted his title back which he won back at Wrestlemania 24 from Edge. He would go onto lose the title once again, feud with the Big Show, and beat Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 25 to run his Wrestlemania record to 17-0.  After this match, he took time off.

Upon his return, The Undertakaer went after CM Punk who was the World Heavyweight Champion at the time. He won the World title from Punk in Hell in a Cell match and he currently champion on Smackdown.
