Smackdown Smackdown Superstar Kane

WWE Superstars Smackdown Kane

Kane

Glen Jacobs

Wrestling Biography

He achieved fame as the WWE superstar Kane, but his real name is Glen Jacobs.  He was born in Madrid, Spain, on April 26, 1968, and since his debut in the early 90s, he has had a number of gimmicks.  His first was as the Black KNnight, then as Dr. Isaac Yankem and the Fake Diesel.  Since joining the WWE and using the name Kane, he has won the WWE Championship, the ECW Championship, the World Tag title, and the WCW Tag title.

When Kane first appeared on the WWE, he threatened the Undertaker and his companion, Paul Bearer.  He wore a mask that covered his face and long sleeves to cover burns on his arms from a fire that the Undertaker allegedly started when they were younger.  He also often spoke with a voice box, claiming that the fire had destroyed his voice box.  Eventually, Bearer revealed that Kane was the Undertaker’s brother. Because of this, the Undertaker refused to battle Kane, but eventually, the two clashed after Undertaker was burned alive at the 1998 Royal Rumble.

Their first fight came at WrestleMania 14.  Since then, they have feuded off and on, although they pair up often when they are not trying to defeat each other.  In 2002, it was revealed by Triple H that Kane had killed his ex-girlfriend.  This lead to a battle between the two, and Kane went crazy.  He attacked Linda McMahon.  Shane came to rescue her and began feuding with Kane.  It was during this storyline that Kane lost his mask.  Since then, he also hasn’t worn long sleeves and no longer uses a voice box.

Kane’s next story involved him sleeping with Lita and feuding with Matt Hardy.  Following that, he formed a tag team with the Big Show.  He also feuded with an imposter Kane in 2005 and 2006.  After his tag team broke up, Kane faced the Big Show for the ECW Championship before returning to Smackdown.  In early 2008, after making several appearances on ECW and even winning the ECW title, he returned to RAW.  In 2009, he was drafted to Smackdown, where he continues to wrestle.
