John Morrison

Wrestling Biography
WWE superstar John Morrison has gone by a number of different names, including his real name, John Hennigan. Johnny Blaze, Johnny Nitro, and Johnny Spade are all names he has used. He always uses John or Johnny as his first name, and he’s recently settled on John Morrison.
Morrison first joined the WWE after he was one of two winners of the 2002 Tough Enough program. He was sent to the Ohio Valley Wrestling promotion, and there, he trained and developed his character. In March of 2004, he appeared on RAW as the assistant to Eric Bischoff when he was General Manager. He first used the name Johnny Blaze, but he would change his name off and on for several weeks. He eventually was sent back to Ohio Valley for further training. There, he paired with Joey Mercury and manager Melina to become MNM. They moved to SmackDown in 2005, when they picked up the tag team championship three times during the year.
The pair would lose their tag titles at the 2006 Judgment Day when Morrison and Melina betrayed Mercury. The two were then “fired” from SmackDown and moved to RAW. There, Morrison picked up the Intercontinental title. He and Matt Hardy traded the belt back and forth a few times. He and Melina also briefly reunited with Mercury to challenge the Hardy Boys, but Mercury was eventually injured and the feud dropped.
In 2007, Morrison was moved to ECW. It was here that he finally changed his name from Johnny Nitro to John Morrison. He battled with CM Punk for several months and won the ECW Championship. He also paired up with former enemy The Miz to win the WWE Tag Team belts.
In early 2008, he and Miz started their own WWE online series called "The Dirt Sheet" while still defending their Tag titles. They eventually lost the belts at the 2008 Great American Bash. Since then, they feuded with Cryme Tyme via their online shows and joined up with Jillian Hall.
At WrestleMania XXV, Morrison and Miz, as the holders of the World Tag Team title, went up against the Colons, the holders of the WWE Tag titles. The winners of the match would hold both belts and be declared the top tag team. The Colons eventually defeated Morrison and Miz, taking both titles. As part of the Draft and The Miz being moved to Raw, their tag team was disbanded. In September 2009, Morrison became a two time intercontinental Champion when he beat Rey Mysterio. In December 2009 at TLC, Morrison lost the Intercontinental title to Drew McInytyre.
