Wrestling Biography

The WWE superstar JTG was born Jayson Paul on December 10, 1984.  He wrestles with his tag team partner Shad Gaspard on Raw.  His career began at Ohio Valley Wrestling in 2006, which is where he and Gaspard first met and teamed up.

While at OVW, JTG went by the name “The Neighborhoodie.”  He and Gaspard actually called themselves the Gang Stars, and under this name, they won the OVW Southern Tag titles two different times.  Towards the end of 2006, they were elevated to Raw, which is when the Neighborhoodie became JTG and the Gang Stars became Cryme Tyme.  The two debuted on October 16, and while they won a number of matches (and stole items from other wrestlers), they failed to win a title on Raw.  They did, however, return to OVW to pick up their second Southern Tag title in July of 2007.  However, come September of 2007, both JTG and Gaspard were released from the WWE.

The two spent 2007 and part of 2008 on the independent circuit, wrestling for Jersey All Pro Wrestling and Derby City Wrestling.  However, on March 31, 2008, they reappeared on Raw.  Since then, they have worked with John Cena.  The three have even formed a stable, the Cryme Tyme Cenation.  They also began a feud with World Tag holders Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase but were unbale to break through and win the titles. JTG cheated to win a slot at the Royal Rumble, but he was eliminated.

They were drafted to Smackdown and became the number on contenders for the Unified Tag Team Championship but once again could not cash in the opportunity.
