CM Punk

Wrestling Biography
Punk trained at Ohio Valley Wrestling, and won every available title while there. After being moved to ECW, he remained incredibly successful, going undefeated for six months and winning the ECW Championship. He feuded with Mike Knox and Hardcore Holly, and it was, in fact, Holly who ended Punk’s undefeated streak in January of 2007. Punk then joined the New Breed alliance, although he betrayed them a few weeks later in a four-on-four match with the ECW Originals. When Bobby Lashley was moved to RAW from ECW, Punk had a shot at his vacated World Champion title at SummerSlam but was defeated. Victory came to him in September of 2007, when he seized the title and successfully defended it for several months. Finally, in January of 2008, Chavo Guerrero took the title away from him.
Punk moved from ECW to RAW in June of 2008 when the WWE draft came around. Once there, he cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase won at WrestleMania 25 and defeated Edge to win the World Heavyweight title. He successfully defended the title until Unforgiven in September of 2008. Days before the match, he was attacked by four other wrestlers, and it was declared that he could not participate in the Unforgiven match. Punk was forced to relinquish his title, and Chris Jericho became the new Heavyweight champion. He later joined Kofi Kingston to claim the Tag Team title and, on his own, won the Intercontinental title. By winning the Intercontinental title, Punk became the 19th WWE superstar to win the Triple Crown title, the unofficial threesome of the Heavyweight, Tag Team, and Intercontinental titles.
After winning the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania 25, Punk was drafted to Smackdown where he once again cashed in his Money in the Bank and beat Jeff Hardy for the World Title after Hardy was involved in a Table, Ladders, and Chairs match in June 2009. His attitude changed and after a few more matches with Hardy, he began to feud with the returning Undertaker, to whom he lost the World Title at Hell in a Cell in October 2009.
