Triple H

Wrestling Biography
Levesque first wrestled on the independent circuit as Terra Ryzing. Following that, he was signed to WCW under the name Jean Paul LeVesque. However, he didn’t stay with them long - in 1995, he was offered a contract with the WWE. He made his debut with the company as Hunter Hearst Helmsley, the name that he would later abbreviate to Triple H. Triple H’s first gimmick was playing the part of a rich snob.
In 1996, Triple H won the Intercontinental title even after being de-pushed after the "Incident at the Garden" with the Kliq, a group of wretlers that included Hunter, Shawn Micahels, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash when they charatcter to say goodbye to departing Hall and Nash. The next year, he and Shawn Michaels formed the D-Generation X stable, a heel stable that would endure for many years. After Michaels was injured and put out of action, Triple H took control of DX and recruited the returning X-Pac and the New Age Outlaws to join the group and the turned the group from villians to good guys. In 1999, he moved away from D-Generation X to chase after the WWE Championship.
1999 saw Triple H move to the forefront of the WWE. He held the WWE Championship title and began a feud with owner Vince McMahon. He later revealed that he and Vince’s daughter Stephanie, who was engaged to Test, had married after he drugged her. However, in another revelation, Stephanie revealed she was not drugged, and she and Triple H took control of Smackdown. This began the McMahon-Helmsley Era. Many different things occured during this time such as starting a feud with Stone Cold Steve Austin, wrestling The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 17, and even joining forces with Austin to form the tag team The Two Man Power Trip.
Triple H suffered another injury in 2001, and he was out of action for almost nine months. He returned at Royal Rumble, however, and reclaimed the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 18. After divorcing Stephanie McMahon (storyline) and losing the title to Hulk Hogan, Triple H was moved to RAW where he was awarded the World Heavyweight Championship. He then formed the Evolution stable with Batista, Ric Flair and Randy Orton. The height of the group dominance was at Armageddon 2003 when eveyr member of the group ended the night with a title. During this year, Triple H fended off challenges from a who's who in wrestling for his World Championship such Booker T, Rob Van Dam, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner, and others. By 2005, Evolution was completely disbanded after Batista beat Triple H for three months straight for the title.
In 2006, he and Shawn Michaels reunited and reformed D-Generation X. They began a feud with the Vince and Shane McMahon along with the Spirit Squad where they were always one step ahead of the chairman and his cronies. This was followed up with a program with Rated RKO (Randy Orton and Edge) but was cut short after Triple H suffered a torn quad which required surgery and more time off.
Triple H returned in 2007 and immediately won the WWE Championship to make him a 11-time world champion. He would lose and regain the title twice more into 2008. During the summer of 2008, he was drafted to Smackdown and he went to lost the title to Edge during his time on the show. He won the title back in an Elimination Chamber match for eighth WWE Championship reign.
In 2009, he began a feud with Randy Orton and his stable called Legacy. After Orton attacked Stephanie and Shane McMahon, he broke character to proclaim that he was part of the McMahon family in real life and confronted Orton and faced him in a match at Wrestlemania 25, which Triple H won. He lost the title to Orton in a six man tag match the following month and reunitied with Shawn Michaels to help him with defeating Legacy. At Survivor Series 2009, he was put into a triple threat match with Shawn Michaels along with John Cena for WWE Chmapionship which Cena won. Triple H and Michaels are currently the Unified Tag Team champions after beating JeriShow in a TLC match.
