Wrestling Biography

Stephanie McMahon, sometimes referred to as the Princess, is the daughter of WWE owner Vince McMahon and his wife, Linda.  A WWE superstar in her own right, Stephanie was born in September of 1976.  She has one brother, Shane, who also appears on WWE.

Stephanie first appeared modeling some merchandise during the late 1980s, but she was rarely involved in the WWE as she was focusing on her college education.  However, she did learn much about the business, and after she graduated from Boston University with a communications degree, she began working for the WWE umbrella company, Titan, in the advertising department.  After working in a variety of positions, in 2006, Stephanie was named Senior Vice President of Creative Writing.  In 2007, she was promoted to Executive Vice President of Talent, Creative Writing, and Live Events.  This position brought with it a good amount of power—she even turned down several storyline ideas from her father.

In 1999, Stephanie started appearing on the WWE and became a love interest for wrestler Test.  She found herself kidnapped by the Undertaker, as well, and was almost forced to marry him in a dark ceremony.  Following this, Test proposed, and the two were set to marry until it was revealed that Stephanie, after being drugged, was already married to Triple H.

However, the drugging turned out to be a fake, and Stephanie turned heel.  She and Triple H soon took over and created the McMahon-Helmsley Era.  The two and their allies terrorized a number of WWE personalities during this time, even pushing Mick Foley out of the WWE.  She also won the WWE Women’s title during this time thanks to help from Triple H.

In 2000, Stephanie became involved in a love triangle with Triple H and Kurt Angle.  This eventually lead to their on-screen divorce. Stephanie was a focal point of the Invasion storyline as she the storyline owner ECW and joined forces with her brother Shane who brought WCW to drive the WWE out of business. After the storyline ended, she joined forces with Chris Jericho in 2002 to gain revenge against Triple H but after Jericho lost the Undisputed Championship to Triple H and after being pinned by Triple H in a three-way match, she left the WWE.

It wasn’t long until she returned, and in 2002, she became General Manager of SmackDown.  She brought Hulk Hogan back to the WWE during this time, but in 2003, she once again vanished from SmackDown.  She returned, pregnant, in 2005, and then became RAW’s General Manager in 2008. Stephanie and the rest of her family began feuding with Randy Orton who ended up giving her the RKO on Raw and Stephanie had been off television since then.

In real life, Stephanie married Triple H in 2003, and the two have two children.
