Nikki Bella is one half of the WWE superstar team called the Bella Twins.  Born in 1983, the two are one of the few professional wrestling teams that are actual twins - many times, the “twins” or brother/sister relationship is simply a gimmick.  The Bella twins currently appear on RAW.

Nikki and Brianna began their careers as soccer players until they went to college.  There, the two started modeling and acting.  As identical twins, they found work in a number of different publications and even appeared on the television reality show Meet My Folks.  The two served as the Budweiser World Cup Twins and appeared in the 2006 International Body Doubles twin search.

In 2007, they were offered a developmental contract by the WWE, and they began training at Florida Championship Wrestling.  There, they worked as a tag team, and their gimmick was that they often swapped places when the referee’s back was turned.  The two also briefly served as managers to Derrick Linkin before he was released from his WWE contract.

While Brianna, as Brie Bella, debuted in August of 2008 on Smackdown, Nikki wasn’t officially introduced until November 7.  However, she actually appeared several times before then as she and Brie swapped places in a number of matches.  During a match against Victoria and Natalya, their ruse was discovered, and the two were then properly introduced as the WWE’s first set of female twin wrestlers.
