Wrestling Biography

The WWE superstar known as Kelly Kelly was actually born Barbara Jean Blank in January of 1987.  In addition to working as a professional wrestler, Kelly has worked as a model, a dancer, and a valet.  She is currently assigned to Raw.  She has appeared with other WWE divas in the video for Timbaland’s “Throw It on Me” and as a trainer on Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp.

Kelly was offered a developmental contract by the WWE via her modeling agency, and even though she had no wrestling experience, she accepted their offer to begin wrestling with Ohio Valley Wrestling.  She was quickly offered a contract to join the main roster; even so, she continued to make appearances at OVW, including participating in their Women’s Battle Royal.

Kelly debuted on June 13, 2006, on ECW as the youngest Diva on the WWE.  Her first act on ECW was doing a striptease.  This launched a storyline where her on-screen lover, Mike Knox, constantly interrupted her strip teases.  He eventually made her his valet in order to keep a tighter reign on her exhibitionism, pulling her into his feud with Tommy Dreamer and the Sandman.

Kelly entered the ring for the first time in August of 2006 to wrestle Torrie, a match that she lost.  She then formed a crush on CM Punk, creating a feud between Knox and Punk.  This singled the end of Kelly and Knox’s relationship. He eventually used his swinging reverse STO on her, leaving her injured and out of the ring for six weeks.

Kelly returned in January of 2007 and began performing her strip teases again, this time bringing other Divas into the act. She chased after The Miz and Balls Mahoney until the 2008 WWE draft moved left her as the only ECW female wrestler.  She was moved to Raw in July.  There, she has teamed with Mickie James, competed in the Survivor Series, and appeared in a match at Armageddon. She was a battle royal to become the number one contender to Maryse's Divas Championship and beat her in a match but disqualification but the belt can not change hands on a DQ. She lost by pinfall in her rematch.
