Big Show

Wrestling Biography
Paul Wight, Jr. had no idea that he would one day be better known as Big Show, his stage name in the WWE. Big Show currently wrestles on Smackdown, although he has appeared on several other brands, including World Championship Wrestling where he wrestled as The Giant for three years. Big Show holds five World Championships and is the only wrestler to ever win the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, the WWE Championship, and the ECW Championship.
Wight was discovered by Jin Strauser in 1994, but not for the sport of wrestling. Instead, he thought Wight would be a great NFL football player but Wight was only interested in wrestling. Strauser set up a match between Wight and Hulk Hogan, and that was all Wight needed. Seven months later, he joined World Championship Wrestling as The Giant, claiming to be the son of Andre the Giant. Soon after, a major storyline feud with Hulk Hogan began.
In 1999, The Giant allowed his contract to expire after he was defeated by the nWo faction on WCW. Shortly thereafter, Wight was contacted by Vince McMahon, head of the WWF, and signed a ten year contract with the company. He made his WWF debut at the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre pay-per-view event as part of The Corporation, a hell stable under Vince McMahon. He was first called Paul the Great, but after a few weeks, he changed his name to Big Show, the name he has used ever since.
As WWE Superstar Big Show, Wight has been a two-time WWE Champion, an ECW Champion, and four-time Tag Team Champion. He had been the Undisputed Tag Team Champion with Chris Jericho (after replacing Edge as Jericho's partner) until they lost the title to D-Generation X in a TLC pay-per-view match.
