Wrestling Biography

Lance Hoyt, born in 1977,  is currently known as Vance Archer on the ECW brand in the WWE. His career started in his home state of Texas wrestling on the Texas independent circuit for four years using various names. He wrestled mostly in Professional Championship Wrestling where he faced names such as Paul London and Ahmed Johnson. He won the PCW Tag Team title and became the first ever AMW Heavyweight Championship from Shawn Stasiak in 2007 and held it for a few months before losing the title.

TNA Wrestling hired Archer in 2004 and he was matched up with Kid Kash under the name of Dallas. They won the NWA Tag Team titles on two seperate occasions. After Kash was suspended, Hoyt's career hit a wall until he started wrestling under his real name of Lance Hoyt. He gained cult following status in the TNA Impact Zone among strong followers of TNA and his big push began with a feud with the Team Canada stable. He wrestled in numerous battle royals and gaunlet matches but never was able to win in those matches. He started teaming with Jimmy Rave and Christy Hemme with "The Rock and Rave Infection" where they would pretend to be rock stars with Guitar Hero guitars. In February 2009, he was released from his TNA contract.

After a brief stay in All Japan Pro Wrestling, Hoyt was signed a deal with WWE and started in Florida Championship Wrestling with his name being changed to Vance Archer. In November 2009, he made his debut on ECW wherehis biggest win thus far came against two-time ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer.
