Wrestling Biography

Ezekiel Jackson, a WWE superstar who currently appears on ECW, was born on April 22, 1978.  Ezekiel is his stage name - his real name is Rycklon Stephens, and he began his career as a bodybuilder.  While his professional name is Ezekiel Jackson, he is often known by his nickname, Big Zeke.  He has also gone by the names Ricky Atlas and Big Ryck Hytz.

In March of 2007, Ezekiel was offered a developmental contract with the WWE.  He made his debut at Florida Championship Wrestling in June of that year.  A year later in July, Ezekiel made his first appearance on WWE Smackdown.  Using the name Ezekiel, he appeared as the bodyguard of The Brian Kendrick.  In August, his name was changed to Ezekiel Jackson, and he became one of Kendrick’s advisors.  Shortly thereafter, he started interfering in Kendrick’s matches.  He helped Kendrick defeat Jeff Hardy, Finlay, and finally Triple H, who was the WWE Champion at the time.  It wasn’t until October 17, however, that Ezekiel actually made his own in-ring wrestling debut.  He appeared on Smackdown as a replacement for the sick Kendrick in a match against Super Crazy.

Jackson was drafted to ECW in April 2009 but went to Florida Championship Wrestling for further training. Upon his return to the road, he joined forces with William Regal and Vladimir Kozlov where they have been feuding with ECW Champion Christian.

Ezekiel’s signature moves include the high impact shoulder block, the standing side slam, and the backbreaker rack.
