Wrestling Biography
Jamie Szantyr is better known as Velvet Sky in Total Nonstop Action wrestling. She started training with Jason Knight and Kevin Landry at the House of Pain Pro Wrestling Dojo. After training, she appeared on the independent circuit under the names Miss Talia, Talia Doll, and Talia Madison. She former a tag team with April Hunter called T&A and won her first title as she won a battle royal to win the World Xtreme Wrestling Women's Championship in May 2004. She also appeared on WWE TV a couple of times in small roles and even auditioned to be in the WWE 's Diva Search but did not make the Top 8. She also held the Tag Team titles (with April Hunter) and the World Title in Women's Extreme Wrestling.
In 2007, she appeared in TNA as Talia Madison and was booked in the 10-woman Gauntlet Match to determine the first TNA Knockout champion., which Gail Kim went onto win. After this, she changed her name to Velvey Sky and teamed with Anglina Love to form The Beautiful People. After feuding with Gail Kim and Roxxi, Sky recieved a Knockouts Title match against Taylor Wilde and lost both matches in undr 30 seconds. Sky was in Love's corner when she won the TNA Knockouts title against Awesome Kong and Wilde. The Beautiful People added two new members Kip James (who was fired not long after) and Madison Rayne, who was kicked out of the group but brought back.
Love left TNA and Velvet took the reigns of The Beautiful People along with Madison Rayne and Lacey Von Erich who was brought in after Love left TNA. Sky and Rayne were defeated by Sarita and Taylor Wilde for the TNA Knockouts Tag Team titles. Love returned to the company in January 2010 and has been attacking her former partner Velvet for trying to replace her with Von Erich.
