Wrestling Biography

Terry Gerin, known as Rhino, was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1975. He began his career in the Can-Am wrestling school under the eye of Scott D'Amore. He wrestled in Detroit and then in Canada with the stable "THUG Life" with Joe Legend, Chrsitian, and Edge in their early years. He then went over to Germany to the Catch Wrestling Association and won the Tag Team Championships but vacanted them after he signed with ECW.

 

Upon his debut in ECW, he challeneged Tommy Dreamer and Raven for the ECW Tag Team titles but were unsuccessful with Steve Corino. He feuded with The Sandman and won the ECW Television Championship over Tajiri in April 2000. He lost it to Kid Kash but regained it two weeks later. Him and The Sandman would continue to feud and Rhino would beat The Sandman for the ECW World Title right after The Sandman beat Steve Corino in a Tables, Ladders, Chairs and Canes match. ECW soon went out of business and Rhino was the last Television and Heavyweight Champion in the orginal ECW. After ECW went bankrupt, Rhino joined the WWE in March 2001.

 

Rhino teamed up with Edge, Christian, and Kurt Angle and he won the Hardcore Title three times in mid 2001. He joined the The Alliance during the Invasion storyline, where former ECW wrestlers joined forces once again. He defeated Tajiri for the WCW US Title but lost it to Kurt Angle. He was on the shelve for 13 months after undergoing neck surgery. He returned to join Chris Benoit and failed on numerous occasions to win the WWE Tag Team Championship. They stayed a Tag Team until Rhino turned on him. After being drafted to Raw, he challeneged Chris Benoit for the World Heavyweight Championship but came up short. He formed a team with Tajiri and they went after the World Tag Team titles but could not win them. Rhino was released from the WWE after a public argument with his wife at Wrestlemania 21 afterparty.

 

Rhino appeared in TNA in July 2005 as he gored Raven after Raven's championship match agains Abyss. Rhino challenged Raven for his NWA World Championship but came up short. Rhino would onto Bound for Glory where he would compete and win an four-way Monster's Ball match and a 10-man Gauntlet match to se who would face Jeff Jarrett later that night for the NWA Ttle. Rhino won the gauntlet and beat Jarrett to become the NWA Heavyweigh Champion. He wold lost the title not long after. He feuded with Abyss and Samoa Joe after losing the title. The next feud was with Christian Cage who he had history with as friends and former partners in Canada. This resulted in violent matches between the two in which Christian won both.

 

He feued with AJ Styles and and beat him in the first ever Elevation X match. His feud with James Storm was personal as it revolved around Rhino past drinking issues. Since then, he was put in sporadic feuds and matches and stated training Jesse Neal, a former military solidier, but turned on him after Neal stopped taking Rhino's direction. He joined forces with Team 3D after they felt that TNA was favoring yunger talent over them.
