Kevin Nash, born in Detroit in 1959, started his career in wrestling after playing basketball in college and professionally in Europe. Nash started in WCW as Steel, one half on the Master Blasters. He had many different gimmicks while in WCW including Oz and Vinnie Vegas. After three years, he left WCW for the WWE and started working as the bodyguard of Shawn Michaels named Diesel. In April 1994, Diesel defeated Razor Ramon for the Intercontinental Championship and Diesel and Michaels won the WWE Tag Team titles in August of that year. Ramon won back the Intercontinental title and soon after, the partnership of Michaels and Diesel dissolved.

In November 1994, Diesel beat Bob Backlund for the WWE Title in eight seconds and retained against former friend Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 11. Diesel and Michaels would join forces again after Michaels new bodyguard Sycho Sid turned on him. "The Two Dudes with Attitude" won the Tag Team titles and Diesel was still the WWE champion until Bret Hart beat Diesel at Survivor Series 1995. After losing the title, Diesel went after the Undertaker and cost him the WWE Title against Bret Hart. Diesel almost won the 1996 Royal Rumble but lost to Shawn Michaels and lost another opportunity to win the WWE Title losing to Bret Hart.

Shortly before Wrestlemania 12, Diesel and Razor Ramon (Scott Hall) signed contracts to go to WCW. Diesel lost to The Undertaker at Wrestlemania and faced Shawn Michaels for the WWE Title and lost. At a Madision Sqaure Garden house show and the last show for the Hall and Diesel, after the show in the ring, Hall, Nash, Michaels and Triple H came out to embrace which was a violation of kayfabe in the wrestling industry.

Upon debuting in WCW, Nash and Hall started to taunt WCW wrestlers and during a six man tag team match at Bash at the Beach, they introduced Hulk Hogan to their group introducing the NWO. Hall and Nash won the WCW Tag Team Championship on numerous occasions but theNWO started to show signs of weakness and eventually broke into two factions, the Black and White and the Red and Black. He teamed with Sting and held the Tag Team titles for a month before losing to his former partner Scott Hall and The Giant. After winning the 60 man battle royal at World War 3, he defeated Goldberg the WCW World Title ending Goldberg's winning streak. But this was short lived as Nash was involved in the "Fingerpoke of Doom" where Hulk stuck his finger in the chest of Nash and Nash fell down and got pinned so Hogan can win the title.

Nash began writing some angles for WCW and in May 1999, he won the World Title for the second time defeating Diamond Dallas Page. Randy Savage returned and faced off against Nash and in a tag match with Nash and Sting versus Savage and Pyscho Sid resulted in Savage winning the World Title. From this time on, Nash would feud with Terry Funk, Mike Awesome and Booker T, who Nash won the World Title from in August 2000. He also won the WCW Tag Team titles with Diamond Dallas Page. Once WCW was brought by the WWE, Nash did not go immediately to the WWE due to his contract with WCW being guaranteed adn he was still being paid.

Upon his reuturn to to the WWE, the NWO with Hogan and Hall was restarted and they started feuding with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and The Rock. Nash suffered a biceps injury and as soon as he came back from this injury, he tore his quad. Upon returning, he feuded with Triple H and Chris Jericho which reuslted in a Hair vs. Hair match which Nash lost. He last match was in the Elimination Chamber where he was the first eliminated. He was released in January 2004.

After leaving the WWE, he went to TNA with Scott Hall to join forces with Jeff Jarrett and call themselves the Kings of Wrestling. They feuded with AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy but Nash broke the group up and went after the NWA Heavyweight title. He had several shots at the title against Jeff Jarrett but came up short due to outside interference. He then suffered an staph infection which put him down for most of 2005 and returned to feud with the X Division. In 2008, Nash joined The Main Event Mafia with other former world champions and became the TNA Legends Championship in 2009.

After the Main Event Mafia disbanded, Nash into business with the World Elite and upon the debut of Hulk Hogan, Nash was reuiited with Scott Hall and Sean Waltman in January 2010.
