Wrestling Biography
Shawn Hernandez was born on February 11, 1973 in Texas and played football thoughout his young life in high school and college. He went on to play Arena Football but when his career was over, he trained to wrestle under Tugboat Taylor and made his wrestling debut in Texas All-Star Wrestling in 1996. In 2000-200, Hernandez worked as a jobber in the WWE and appeared on Jakked and in some dark matches. He toured Japan and worked in Ring of Honor in 2003 while still on the Texas independent scene. In 2001, he won the NWA National Heavyweight Championship and in 2003, he won the NWA North American Heavyweight Championship.
He made his TNA Wrestling debut as part of the Elite Guard, a group of mercenaries working for Jeff Jarrett after he won the NWA World Title. They feueded with the 3 Live Kru and afte, all three wrestlers were released. He went back to working in Texas wrestling in 2005 but in 2006, he was brought back to TNA as part of The Latin American Exchange. In August 2006, Hernandez and Homicide beat AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels to win the NWA World Tag Team titles. Styles and Daniels won them back in a Ultimate X match but LAX won them back in Six Sides of Steel. They then started a feud with the most decorated tag team in TNA history America's Most Wanted defeating them twice and moving into a program with Team 3D.
After beating Team 3D on three different occasions, they lost the NWA Tag Team titles to Team 3D in a electrified Steel Cage match at Lockdown in 2007. Hernandez and Homicide continued after the titles and won the TNA Tag Team titles once again after beating Team 3D in the Deuces Wild Tournament but lost the titles to Beer Money Inc.
In the Feast of Fired match in 2008, both Hernandez and Homicide received briefcases which contianed a TNA World Title match for Hernandez and an X-Division Title match for Homicide. Homicide would cash that against Sting but came up short after outside interference caused the match to be thrown out. Mick Foley decreed that Hernandez would receive another title shot in the future du to his match interferred with. Hernandez took some time off to recover from neck surgery but came back to help our Homicide and take back his title shot briefcase which was taken by The British Invasion. Homicide later turned on Hernandez and jolined The World Elite which was the end of LAX. Homicide cashed in his title shot and partcipated in a five-way for the TNA World Title which was won by AJ Styles.
Hernandez tried to win the TNA Legends championship but came up in a three-way match with Keving Nash and Eric Young.
