Wrestling Biography

Eric Young, born Jeremy Fritz, started his wrestling career in Cambridge, Ontario training under Waldo Von Erich. After training for ten weeks, he had his first professional match in 1998 in Michigan and started getting more training from Scott D'Amore and Chris Kanyon. He wrestled every so often on the indelpendent circuit and held many odd jobs but ran his own training complex in Cambridge. During this time, he appeared on WWE Television three times as enhancement talent on Velocity and Sunday Night Heat.

In January 2004, Young appeared on TNA as a jobber but reappeared in May of that year as a member of Team Canada and took part on the TNA World X Cup. In October of that year, Young and Robert Roode won the NWA Tag Team Championship from Christopher Daniels and James Storm  and held the titles for a month before losing to the 3 Live Kru. They regained the titles back by defeating the 3 Live Kru and held on the belts till April 2005 when they lost to America's Most Wanted. After a few more chances at the Tag Team titles and being unsucessful, Young and Team Canada had several feuds and Young adopted a  new character that paraniod and scared of everything such as his own pyro. In 2006, Team Canada was disbanded and Eric Young was a singles wrestler without a group.

Following Team Canada breaking up, Young was involved in a feud wit former Team Canada teamamte Robert Roode and his assistant Ms. Brooks. Roode had control of Young's contract and Young was forced to team with Roode and assist him with matches. Young eventually fought back and at Slammiversary 2007, Young was let out his contract with Roode. He had  quick feud with James Storm and teamed with Shark Boy after the feud with Roode.

In Februart 2008, Young debuted "Super Eric", an alter-ego who was a superhero and not afaraid of anything unlike Eric Young. He even won the TNA Tag Team titles with Kaz as Super Eric but the titles was later stripped from them both due to Young being Super Eric. This gimmick did not last long and when the Main Event Mafia was created, Young joined the TNA Frontline and won the X Division title from Sheik Abdul Bashir but was stripped of that title due to interference from the referee in that match. He would win the X Division once again but was stripped again due referee intererence. After defeating Danny Bonaduce at Lockdown, Young's attitude began to change and him losing matches was taking its toll on him.

After attacking Jeff Jarrett after losing to him in a King of the Mountain qualifying match, Young berated Jarrett and walked out on his tag partner Rhino during a match against The British Invasion. In a 10-man tag match, he turned on AJ Styles and gave him a spike pildriver and became leader of the World Elite, a faction of all forreign wrestlers in TNA  featuring The British Invasion, Sheik Abdul Bashir, and Kiyoshi. He shaved his head, changed his ring attire, joined forces with the Main Event Mafia which did not last long and picked up Homicide for his stable. At Bound for Glory 2009, he defeated Kevin Nash and Hernandez to win the TNA Legends Championship. He renamed it the TNA Global Championship and claimed he would not defend it on US soil or against a US born wrestler.
